Fast, agile, great for XC racing
Not the best for technical descents
I’ve been racing XC for a few years and picked up the Anthem Advanced 29 3 this season. It’s super fast and agile, really shines on climbs and flat sections. Compared to my previous Cannondale Scalpel, the Giant feels stiffer and more responsive. It’s not as forgiving on really technical descents, but that’s not what it’s built for. The frame is excellent, and the weight is low. Brakes and gears work flawlessly. If you want a pure XC race bike, this is a great option. Just don’t expect it to be a do-it-all trail bike.
