Solid build, great for technical trails, and reliable components.
A bit heavy for long climbs.
I picked up the Fuel EX XT after trying a few other bikes in the same range. The build quality is solid, and it feels really planted on technical trails. The XT components are reliable, and the brakes have good bite. It’s a bit heavier than I expected, so long climbs can be a workout, but it makes up for it on the descents. Compared to the Norco Fluid, I think the Trek is more stable but not as nimble. Overall, it’s a dependable bike for trail riding, just be ready for a bit of extra weight.
