Building on nearly 20 years of dominance, Wilson's Blade performance rackets continue to be the preferred choice among players at the highest level of the sport. Finished in a new Emerald Night gloss design and a control-oriented string pattern, the Blade Pro 98 (18x20) V9 sharpens responses and increases stability for a more connected-to-the-ball feel. Its commanding feel, excellent ball dwell time, and slick design all combine for a result that is irresistible for advanced players with championship aspirations.

Excellent control, stable feel and stylish design. Comfortable grip right out of the box.

Takes some adjustment time if you’re switching from lighter frames.

Started using the Blade Pro V9 after reading a bunch of reviews online. The first thing I noticed was the solid, stable feel when hitting. Control on placement is top-notch – lets me put balls where I want. I was using a Head Radical MP before, and this feels more sturdy but less forgiving on mishits. The grip was perfect for my hand size, which is rare for me out of the box. I played 4 matches with it the first week and didn’t notice any wrist pain or fatigue. The balance is great for doubles – quick reactions at the net are much easier than my old racket. Frame stiffness adds power to shots without losing touch, but it might not be for every playing style. I like how the strings move less, seems to help with consistency. Blade Pro V9’s design got compliments at my club too, which made me feel like a pro even though I’m just competitive at club level. Did take about three sessions to fully adjust from my lighter frame, timing was off at first. Price is steep but compared to how long these rackets last, probably worth it. Durability seems top-notch, it’s handled some rough clay courts already. Little vibration and shock into the arm, very comfy for extended sets. Volleys and smashes have a crisp pop that’s super satisfying, though I wish it was a touch lighter for faster swings. Overhead shots feel really good and stable. I might still grab my old racket for super casual games, but Blade Pro V9 is now my main. It’s not exactly a beginner's racket – took some time to control the extra power. I recommend this to intermediate and up, not for someone just starting out. Once you get used to it though, really tough to switch back. Overall, solid choice if you want a mix of style and pro feel.
